Job summary

Roy Morgan Ltd is seeking Field Research Officers to conduct face-to-face interviews across Australia. You’ll capture views, experiences and behaviours while maintaining high standards of privacy and accuracy.

Visit households, build rapport, handle refusals, and follow scripts using tablets. Availability of 20+ hours per week including at least one weekend day is essential; training is provided and support is ongoing.

Qualifications

• Experience in face-to-face or door-to-door interviews is preferred.
• Current driver’s license and a reliable vehicle.
• Fluent English and the legal right to work in Australia.
• Willingness to obtain National Police Check and Working with Children’s Check (paid by Roy Morgan).

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned households and confidently initiate conversations at the door.
• Build rapport, manage refusals and obtain informed consent.
• Conduct accurate, structured interviews on a wide range of topics.
• Record observations and follow safety and privacy protocols; maintain confidentiality.
• Plan your weekly schedule to meet agreed hours, including at least one weekend day.
