Job summary

Roy Morgan Research is seeking a Field Interviewer for South Western Sydney to visit households, conduct face-to-face interviews and gather high-quality data for national insights. You will introduce Roy Morgan, invite participation, and follow on-screen scripts using a tablet, while upholding privacy and safety standards.

You will plan weekly schedules, including at least one weekend day, and build rapport with diverse participants, requiring resilience and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Face-to-face field role visiting households and conducting interviews.
• Ability to build rapport and communicate confidently with a wide range of people.
• Comfortable with door knocking and engaging with households that may not expect your visit.
• Empathetic and effective communicator who can adapt style to individuals.
• Organised self-starter who plans routes and manages time to meet hours and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Initiate conversation and engage with participants and invite them to participate in research.
• Build rapport quickly, manage refusals and objections professionally, and ensure informed consent.
• Conduct accurate, structured interviews on a wide range of topics using a tablet.
• Record observations, follow safety and privacy protocols, and maintain confidentiality.
• Plan weekly schedule to meet agreed hours, including at least one weekend day.
