Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an experienced Field Installation Supervisor to lead on-site wind turbine installation at the Uungula Wind Farm project in Wellington, NSW. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will oversee daily field operations, coordinate subcontractors and crews, and ensure safe, high-quality delivery within schedule.

• Recognised trade qualification in a mechanical, electrical or related discipline.
• Extensive wind energy installation experience, with GE Cypress 2 turbine preferred.
• Proven ability to lead site teams and supervise contractors on complex projects.
• Solid knowledge of safety legislation, construction standards and quality requirements.
• Strong planning, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Field Installation Supervisor to lead on-site wind turbine installation activities at the Uungula wind farm project. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will play a critical role in the safe, efficient and successful delivery of wind farm construction. You will oversee day-to-day site operations, coordinate subcontractors and site crews, manage project schedules and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality and operational excellence are achieved.

Based in Wellington NSW: the Uungula Wind Farm Construction Project
FIFO/DIDO from anywhere Eastern Seaboard or possible VISA Sponsorship available
Working on a 3:1 roster with full 7 days off and paid travel days
Monday to Saturday
Flights & accommodation and vehicle provided
Daily per diem $75
Contract length is 12 months rolling throughout the duration of the project and beyond

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise all on-site wind turbine installation and construction activities.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel to ensure project objectives are achieved.
• Drive a strong safety culture through regular inspections, risk assessments and compliance activities.
• Monitor project schedules, identify potential delays and implement solutions to maintain milestones.
• Conduct quality inspections and ensure work is completed in accordance with engineering and project specifications.
• Provide regular progress updates and act as a key liaison between site teams and project stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, reports and site records.
• Mentor and develop field personnel, promoting continuous improvement and team performance

Qualifications and Certifications

• GWO industry Basic Safety Training
• GWO Advanced Rescue Training
• White Card
• Current Driver's license

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• A recognised trade qualification in a mechanical, electrical or related discipline.
• Extensive Installation experience within wind energy, working with GE Cypress 2 turbine highly preferred
• Proven experience leading site teams and supervising contractors in a dynamic project environment.
• Strong knowledge of safety legislation, construction standards and quality requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively engage with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience using project management, scheduling or construction management systems
