You'll have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful regulatory and compliance outcomes while developing your skills through training, field-based experience and collaboration with experienced professionals.
As a Field Inspector, you will play a key role in supporting environmental and heritage conservation outcomes across New South Wales. You will conduct inspections, assess activities against legislative and regulatory requirements, provide guidance to stakeholders, and contribute to compliance and education initiatives. Working closely with Senior Field Inspectors, you will assist with field investigations, evidence collection, stakeholder engagement and the preparation of inspection reports and records. This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse locations, including regional and remote areas, while contributing to the protection of NSW's environmental and heritage assets.
About You
You are a safety-conscious and motivated professional with a strong commitment to environmental and heritage protection. You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders and navigate sensitive situations professionally. You are organised, detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records and preparing clear reports. You enjoy working collaboratively, solving problems and continuously learning to improve your knowledge and skills. A relevant qualification or equivalent experience, along with the ability to travel throughout NSW, will position you well for success in this role.
