WSP is seeking an Occupational Hygiene & Hazardous Materials Technician to join our team in Sydney. You will undertake exposure monitoring, hazardous materials sampling, site inspections and handle equipment calibration while supporting field-delivery and data management.

Experience in occupational hygiene or related fields is advantageous; a strong safety culture and ability to work with diverse teams will be valued.

Qualifications

• Year 12 completion or equivalent with strong communication and numeracy skills.
• Current unrestricted driver’s license.
• Ability and willingness to undertake regular fieldwork; typically 50–80% in field, lab or workshop.
• Experience in occupational hygiene, hazardous materials, environmental monitoring, laboratory work, construction or related field is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Undertake workplace exposure monitoring, hazardous materials sampling and site inspections.
• Prepare, calibrate and operate specialised sampling and monitoring equipment.
• Record field observations and maintain accurate technical documentation.
• Support laboratory preparation, sample handling and data management activities.
• Assist with technical reporting, proposal preparation and project delivery.
• Work closely with experienced occupational hygienists, hazardous materials consultants and project managers.
• Contribute to a strong safety culture and deliver work in accordance with quality standards and approved methodologies.
