Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) in Melbourne seeks a Field Engineer to provide full lifecycle support for AWS Data Centers from design to turnover. You will review designs, troubleshoot issues, and help upgrade data center capacity and reliability.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in industrial engineering, data center know‑how, and strong MS Office skills. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams and work across regions on complex projects.

Qualifications

4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

Perform design review for Data Centers in your region.
Troubleshoot, conduct RCA and create CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and SOP reviews.
Own the design for existing data center upgrades to improve capacity and efficiency.
Interface with data center design engineering, server hardware, and safety teams.
Work on concurrent projects across multiple regions.
Initiate and lead engineering audits; produce risk reports with mitigations.
