Job summary

Cummins in Cairns, Far North Queensland, is seeking a Diesel Technician to diagnose and complete engine repairs at customers' sites. You will engage customers professionally, use specialised tools, and follow documented procedures to diagnose and repair engines.

Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance, completing documentation, and maintaining the service vehicle and tools. On-site work with an on-call roster and overtime penalties are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III) or equivalent.
• Basic level of workshop or field service experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of engine products.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engines at customer sites.
• Engage customers professionally and address needs.
• Use specialized tools and documented procedures to diagnose and repair.
• Perform preventative maintenance on engines and related components.
• Document service worksheets and timesheets accurately.
• Identify additional service opportunities with customers.
• Maintain service vehicle and tools in good condition.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
