Job summary

Breakmark is partnering with a rapidly growing enterprise AI company to hire a Field CTO for Australia. You will join at an early stage combining technical leadership, customer engagement, and hands-on engineering.

Lead enterprise engagements, build a regional technical team, own customer delivery, and shape strategy for regional growth. Fluent English and strong AI infra knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on backend engineering experience.
• 5+ years leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Experience building technical organisations from the ground up.
• Proven ownership of production systems at scale.
• Startup founder experience is a MUST.
• Strong understanding of AI, LLMs, and modern AI infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise technical engagements from discovery to deployment.
• Stay hands-on by building integrations, prototypes, and production-ready solutions.
• Build and lead the regional technical team with a focus on architecture, delivery and customer success.
• Own customer delivery and ensure AI solutions operate reliably in production.
• Shape regional strategy by feeding customer feedback into product roadmaps and adapting solutions for the market.
