Job summary

Genus Services is seeking an experienced Field Contract Manager to join our team in Wodonga. This is a field-focused role responsible for overseeing and managing the field aspects of assigned telecommunications contracts, ensuring contractors deliver the required contractual, commercial, customer, safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience managing field-based resources within a medium to large services business.
• Proven delivery of projects safely, on time and to required quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
• Excellent client relationship and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to manage day-to-day operational issues with autonomy and sound judgement.
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence and Construction Industry White Card.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field-based activities across assigned contracts.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
• Conduct regular field audits of completed work and work in progress, with a strong focus on safety and quality.
• Ensure Safe Work Method Statements and Technical Work Instructions are followed.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure work is delivered within expected timeframes and quality requirements.
• Monitor contractor claims for completed work and ensure accuracy.
• Identify and address defective workmanship and coordinate required rectification works.
• Manage field and contractor escalations in conjunction with management, SHEQ and clients.
• Investigate customer complaints and ensure appropriate actions and rectification works are completed.
• Conduct regular audits of contractor safety tools and equipment.
• Provide contractors with feedback regarding quality requirements and performance.
• Run regular toolbox meetings with contracted suppliers.
• Liaise with project teams regarding workflow and field delivery.
• Identify non-conformances and ensure appropriate remedial actions are implemented.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, customer outcomes and project delivery.

About You

• Previous experience managing field-based resources within a medium to large services business

• Excellent client relationship and account management skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• The ability to manage day-to-day operational issues with autonomy and sound judgement
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• The ability to analyse information and prioritise customer requirements
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
• Competency with Microsoft Office, including Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint
• Current C Class Driver’s Licence
• Construction Industry White Card

A Certificate III or higher/equivalent telecommunications trade qualification and previous experience within telecommunications, utilities, construction or resources will be highly regarded.
