Job summary
Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Toowoomba QLD is seeking a Construction Worker (Supervisor) to oversee civil construction and maintenance projects in the Downs South West Queensland region. You will lead project teams, coordinate labour, plant and equipment, and ensure quality, safety, and client requirements are met.
You will build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, mentor staff, and promote safety, innovation, and continuous improvement on site.
Qualifications
- Experience in civil construction or road infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise civil construction and maintenance projects from planning through to completion.
- Lead, coach and develop team members to achieve project goals.
- Coordinate labour, plant and equipment resources to meet delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate project records and site documentation.
- Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and project teams.
- Support workforce development through training and mentoring opportunities.
- Promote safety, performance, innovation and continuous improvement on site.
