Job summary
NEPEAN Conveyors is seeking experienced Conveyor Technicians and Belt Splicers to join our Bathurst/Lithgow service team, working across workshop and field operations in the Bathurst/Lithgow region.
You will perform belt inspections, installations, splicing, vulcanising and maintenance, with travel to major mining projects across Australia and opportunities for career progression within a growing business.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years conveyor or belt experience.
- Experience with fabric belt splicing and repairs.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Belt Splicer (Highly Desirable)
- Steel Cord Splicing Experience (Highly Desirable)
- Underground Black Coal experience (desirable, not essential)
- Certificate III in Polymer Processing (or working towards)
- Construction White Card (highly regarded)
- Physically capable of repetitive lifting up to 25 kg
- HR licence, forklift, dogging or rigging licences (highly regarded)
- Ability to work away from home when required
Responsibilities
- Conveyor belt inspections and condition mapping
- Conveyor belt installations and replacements
- Fabric and steel cord belt splicing & Repairs
- Hot and cold vulcanising
- Pulley lagging repairs and replacements
- Belt cleaner inspections and maintenance
- General conveyor belt maintenance activities
- Working safely in accordance with site requirements and NEPEAN procedures
- Completing quality documentation and reporting requirements
