Job summary

NEPEAN Conveyors is seeking experienced Conveyor Technicians and Belt Splicers to join our Bathurst/Lithgow service team. You will perform belt inspections, installations, splicing, vulcanising, and maintenance across workshop and field sites.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of conveyor/belt experience, splicing skills (fabric or steel cord), and relevant licences. We offer competitive hourly rates, travel and accommodation when away, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ conveyor or belt experience.
• Experience with fabric belt splicing and repairs.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Belt Splicer (Highly Desirable).
• Steel Cord Splicing Experience (Highly Desirable).
• Underground Black Coal experience (desirable, not essential).
• Certificate III in Polymer Processing (or working towards).
• Construction White Card (highly regarded).
• Physically capable of repetitive lifting up to 25 kg.
• HR licence, forklift, dogging or rigging licences (highly regarded).
• Ability to work away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Conveyor belt inspections and condition mapping.
• Conveyor belt installations and replacements.
• Fabric and steel cord belt splicing & Repairs.
• Hot and cold vulcanising.
• Pulley lagging repairs and replacements.
• Belt cleaner inspections and maintenance.
• General conveyor belt maintenance activities.
• Working safely in accordance with site requirements and NEPEAN procedures.
• Completing quality documentation and reporting requirements.

The Opportunity

We are seeking experienced and motivated Conveyor Technicians and Belt Splicers to join our Service team, working across workshop and field operations in the Bathurst/Lithgow region.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conveyor belt inspections and condition mapping
• Conveyor belt installations and replacements
• Fabric and steel cord belt splicing & Repairs
• Hot and cold vulcanising
• Pulley lagging repairs and replacements
• Belt cleaner inspections and maintenance
• General conveyor belt maintenance activities
