Job summary

Tweed Shire Council is seeking a hands-on Cleaner to maintain public amenities across the Shire. The role involves traveling between sites, cleaning toilets, showers and barbecues, and reporting maintenance or safety issues while upholding a high standard of cleanliness and safety.

You will work independently in a Council vehicle, with a focus on reliability and initiative. The position is full-time, with a base salary of 54,812.61 AUD per year, up to 60,365.65 AUD, plus 12% super, and a 76-hour

Qualifications

• Experience cleaning public toilet facilities or equivalent amenities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Commitment to WHS requirements and safe handling of chemicals and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain toilets, showers, electric barbecues and related areas across the Shire.
• Travel between sites using Council vehicle and work independently.
• Identify and report maintenance or safety issues and respond proactively.
• Deliver a high standard of cleanliness and safety for public facilities.
