Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group is seeking an experienced cleaner to support the cleaning and upkeep of public amenities and facilities across recreational areas within Ballina Shire, NSW. This full-time, field-based role starts ASAP with a 4:00am–11:30am Monday–Friday shift.

You will follow WHS standards, safely handle cleaning chemicals, and work both independently and as part of a team, while engaging with the public and site stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in commercial cleaning and/or cleaning public amenities.
• Strong understanding of hygiene cleaning processes and safe handling procedures.
• Ability to communicate professionally and work well with others.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Current Hepatitis A & B immunisation, or willingness to participate in an immunisation program.
• Class C driver licence and ability to drive a manual vehicle.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced cleaner to support the cleaning and upkeep of public amenities and facilities across recreational areas within the Ballina Shire. This is a field-based role, starting ASAP.

This full-time role offers Monday to Friday, 4:00am to 11:30am hours.

Duties

• Clean and maintain public amenities and facilities to required hygiene and presentation standards.
• Follow WHS and risk management requirements at all times.
• Safely use and handle cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Complete cleaning tasks efficiently while working independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain a professional, courteous approach when interacting with the public and site stakeholders.

Skills and experience

• Demonstrated experience in commercial cleaning and/or cleaning public amenities.
• Strong understanding of hygiene cleaning processes and safe handling procedures (including sharps and cleaning products).
• Proven ability to communicate professionally and work well with others.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Current Hepatitis A & B immunisation, or willingness to participate in an immunisation program.
• Class C driver licence and ability to drive a manual vehicle.

Benefits

• $35.28/hr + super, plus applicable penalty rates and shift allowance.
