Job summary

SeaLink South East Queensland is seeking a Vessel Engineer to join the Cleveland/Redland Bay ferry operations. The role will maintain vessel machinery, perform servicing, assist with loading, and ensure the safety of passengers while complying with maritime regulations.

The successful candidate should hold MED 2 or higher, AMSA form 1850 medical fitness, and First Aid/CPR certificates, with experience in vessel machinery and digital maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Current MED 2 certificate or higher is essential.
• Current medical fitness for near coastal seafarers (AMSA form 1850).
• Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR certificates.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machinery and systems on vessels; perform maintenance and servicing.
• Assist with loading of vessels and ensure passenger safety.
• Ensure safe operation of vessels and adherence to regulations.
