Job summary

Ability to Achieve is a registered NDIS service provider operating in ACT, NSW and aimed at supporting people with high and complex needs. The Female Registered Nurse/Community Nurse (Complex Care) role focuses on delivering high-quality nursing and care planning for complex cases in home and community settings.

The ideal candidate holds active AHPRA registration, has aged care or community nursing experience, demonstrates strong communication skills, and can commit to a minimum of three shifts

Qualifications

• Active AHPRA registration.
• Nursing Registration Number.
• Experience as Registered Nurse in aged care or community nursing preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Minimum 3 days a week availability - shifts.
• Eligible to work in Australia (Australian or NZ citizenship or permanent work rights).
• Health evaluation and drug/alcohol testing may be required during recruitment.
• COVID-19 and influenza vaccination requirements for residential aged care workers unless exempt.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional care practices: assessments, exceptional reporting and care plan evaluations.
• Plan, organise and implement nursing care for complex care clients per individual care plans and maintain high standards of professional care.
• Report to the House Manager, Canberra location.

The Role and Key Responsibilities

• Reporting to the House Manager, located in Canberra.
• You will provide professional care practices such as; assessments, exceptional reporting and care plan evaluations.
• You will plan, organise and implement nursing care for complex care client in accordance with individual care plans and deliver and promote high standards of professional care.

The Ideal Candidate

• An active AHPRA registration
• Nursing Registration Number
• Previous experience working as a Registered Nurse in Aged Care or community nursing preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Minimum 3 days a week availability - Shifts required
• Candidates must hold Australian or NZ Citizenship or have the capacity to permanently work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified for this position following suitable labour market testing.
• As part of the application process, you may be required to participate in a health evaluation, which could include face-to-face assessment and drug and alcohol testing, to ensure your suitability for the role.
