Job summary

Bindaree Food Group’s Myola Feedlot in Croppa Creek, NSW is seeking an experienced lead feeder to supervise a hands-on crew of feed truck drivers. You’ll manage daily feeding operations, coordinate rosters, operate machinery, and ensure safe, high-quality feed delivery to hit production targets.

You’ll help develop the team, maintain equipment, and promote safety and compliance across the site. This is a full-time on-site role with on-site housing and ongoing development opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the feed team, organise daily feeding operations and rostering.
• Operate feed truck and machinery, deliver and distribute feed to meet targets.
• Read bunks accurately and adjust feed calls on schedule; maintain hay racks.
• Oversee milling process: grain receival, sampling, testing, startup and shutdown.
• Train and coach team to build competencies and safety habits.
• Identify hazards, report issues, and keep maintenance on track.
• Set standards for quality and safety and model expected behaviours.
• Maintain accurate daily records including roster updates.

At Bindaree Food Group's Myola Feedlot, the Feeding Team is the engine room of everything we do. Every ration mixed, every bunk called and every truck loaded feeds directly into the quality our customers rely on.

We're looking for an experienced feedlot feeder ready to step up into a leadership role. Someone who's called bunks, run a feed truck, and knows what a well‑fed pen looks like, and who's ready to lead a hands‑on crew of feed truck drivers.

Job Description

What you'll be doing

• Leading and supervising the feed team — organising daily feeding operations and rostering people where they're needed most
• Getting hands‑on with machinery and feed truck operation, mixing, delivering and distributing feed to hit our LLN (Least-Likely Number) / bunk‑reading targets
• Reading bunks accurately and adjusting feed calls on schedule, keeping hay racks in top condition
• Running the milling process end‑to‑end — grain receival, sampling and testing, mill and boiler start‑up, operation and shut‑down
• Training and coaching the team, and helping them build the competencies they need to thrive
• Spotting hazards and breakdowns early, reporting them fast, and keeping maintenance and safety on track
• Setting the standard — modelling the quality and safety behaviours you expect from the crew
• Keeping accurate daily records, including FY300 updates across the roster, weekends included

About You

• Hands‑on experience feeding in a commercial feedlot environment is essential — you know ration mixing, bunk calling and feed truck operation from the ground up
• Genuine leadership instincts — you communicate clearly up and down the chain and people trust what you say
• Strong time management and the ability to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball
• A proactive, resourceful approach — you fix what you can and flag what you can't
• An eye for detail and a genuine commitment to safety and quality outcomesSolid record‑keeping habits and the confidence to report clearly and accurately
