Job summary

Bindaree Food Group is seeking a Senior Processing Supervisor for Rendering & By-Products at Cooma, NSW. You will oversee daily rendering and by-products operations, ensuring safety, quality and environmental compliance across the site.

You will lead a small team, collaborate with maintenance, and drive continuous improvement in yields, waste management and incident prevention, while supporting the Plant Manager and Environmental Officer.

Qualifications

• Rendering/by-products experience in red-meat processing.
• Experience leading a team (Leading Hand, Supervisor or Manager).
• Clear, practical communication in a busy plant environment.
• Reliable and flexible approach to working hours.
• Experience working with maintenance teams and identifying equipment issues early.
• MSMBLIC001 Boiler licence is highly regarded, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily rendering and by-products operations across tallow, blood, paunch and hides.
• Keep product moving safely and efficiently from the kill floor through to processing.
• Monitor yields, product recovery, production records and waste.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, quality and environmental requirements across the area.
• Oversee odour controls, wastewater, effluent and DAF operations, escalating issues quickly.
• Lead, train and support a small team, building strong safety, hygiene and accountability standards.
• Work closely with maintenance to reduce downtime and support preventative maintenance.

At Bindaree, this role keeps our Cooma plant safe, compliant and running smoothly by overseeing all areas of by-products processing, from raw material flow and rendering through to odour, effluent and waste management.

You will take day-to-day responsibility for rendering and environmental systems on site, working closely with the Plant Manager, Environmental Officer and maintenance team to protect our people, meet site requirements and minimise environmental impact.

• Experience leading a team as a Leading Hand, Supervisor or Manager.
• Clear, practical communication skills and a calm approach in a busy plant environment.
• A reliable and flexible approach to working hours.
• Experience working with maintenance teams and identifying equipment issues early.
• An MSMBLIC001 Licence to Operate a Standard Boiler is highly regarded, but not essential.
