Job summary

JBS Beef City Feedlot, managed by JBS Australia, is located in the Darling Downs region, about 35km west of Toowoomba, Queensland. The feedlot supports a 26,500 head capacity operation with roughly 50 team members and focuses on grain-fed beef for domestic and international markets.

The Feedlot is currently recruiting a Feed Hand to assist with day-to-day Milling and Feeding team operations, including machinery inspections, equipment operation, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience operating trucks, front end loaders, bobcats, tractors and associated equipment.
• HR License and machinery tickets are an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to work machinery in tight working environments.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Must have a good work ethic and be able to take and follow instruction.

Responsibilities

• Undertake pre-start inspections of all machinery prior to operation.
• Report any mechanical faults to supervisor.
• Operation of Loaders and tractors to clean pens, load trucks and associated tasks of a feedlot environment.
• Operate feed trucks to roll out feeding schedule assigned.
• General laboring type duties.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment to prevent injuries and lost time.
• Additional tasks as directed by the Mill Foreperson/ Supervisor and/or Feedlot Manager.

About the Role
The JBS Beef City Feedlot is currently seeking to recruit a feed hand to assist with the day to day operations of the Milling and Feeding team.
