Job summary

JBS Australia is seeking a hands-on role at the Riverina feedlot near Yanco, NSW to manage daily feed allocation, bunk calling, and front end loader operations.

You will ensure feed delivery targets, maintain bunk hygiene, and comply with WHS, QA and environmental obligations while working independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in feed allocation, mixing and feed delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience operating and maintaining machinery, including trucks is advantageous.
• High initiative, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Basic computer literacy including common software tools.

Responsibilities

• Daily feed allocation and bunk calling.
• Focus on feed allocation and delivery to meet targets.
• Maintain bunk hygiene and cleanliness.
• Operate front-end loader, machinery and feed trucks as required.
• Maintain compliance with WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations.

About Us

JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. We have a strong portfolio of leading and renowned beef, lamb, pork, salmon and value-added branded products, such as AMH, Swift, Primo, Murray Valley and Huon.

Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Feedlot is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot, and processing facility. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress, carbon emissions and transportation costs while simultaneously improving eating quality.

Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in southern NSW. Being in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The Feedlot has a capacity of 53,333 head, employs approximately 60 team members, and has a strong reputation for producing award winning grain-fed beef for key domestic and international customers.

About the Role

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Daily feed allocation and feed bunk calling


• Focus on feed allocation and feed delivery to ensure that operational targets are met


• Maintaining bunk hygiene


• Front end loader operations, machinery operation and feed truck driving as required


• Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations

About You

• Experience in feed allocation, mixing and feed delivery


• A demonstrated ability to work well both independently and within a team environment


• Previous experience operating and maintaining machinery, including trucks would be an advantage


• A high level of initiative, attention to details and the ability to meet deadlines


• Basic computer literacy skills
