Job summary

JBS Prime City Feedlot in New South Wales is seeking a motivated, experienced operator to join our team. You will prepare commodities daily for delivery and perform front end loader operations and related duties at the feedlot site.

Key responsibilities include hygiene, machinery operation, and compliance with WHS/QA policies while contributing to a safe, efficient workplace within a busy beef production facility near Griffith.

Qualifications

• Machinery and plant operation experience.
• Grain handling and bulk commodity experience would be advantageous.
• Basic computer skills required.
• High attention to detail and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Preparing commodities daily in preparation for delivery.
• Maintaining commodity hygiene including shovelling, sweeping and cleaning.
• Front end loader operations, machinery operation and feed truck driving as required.
• Mill roustabout duties as required.
• Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies (WHS/QA/Animal Welfare).

Job description

JBS Australia is the largest and most respected meat and food producer in Australia. We have a strong portfolio of leading and renowned beef, lamb, pork, salmon and value-added branded products, such as AMH, Swift, Primo, Murray Valley and Huon.

Located 45km north-west of Griffith in southern New South Wales, JBS Australia’s Prime City Feedlot is a 35,000 head capacity feedlot and a major supplier to the JBS Riverina Beef processing facility at Yanco. Employing approximately 35 team members, Prime City Feedlot has a strong reputation for producing premium quality grain-fed beef.

The 6,225 ha of dryland and irrigation farm onsite at Prime City supplies the grain, silage and hay required for the cattle in the feedlot.

About the Role

The JBS Prime City Feedlot is currently recruiting for a highly motivated, experienced self-starter to join our dedicated and experienced team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing commodities daily in preparation for delivery
• Maintaining commodity hygiene including shovelling, sweeping and general cleaning
• Front end loader operations, machinery operation and feed truck driving as required
• Mill roustabout duties as required
• Maintaining compliance with JBS Australia policies, including but not limited to: WHS, HR, QA, Animal Welfare & Environmental obligations
