Job summary

FinXL Federal Government Practice is recruiting a Systems Analyst to support a major, long-term government program. You will evaluate business processes, define system specifications, and support end-to-end lifecycle improvements across critical public services.

As a key technical anchor, you will work within an agile team, engage with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with APS standards and security requirements.

Qualifications

• Australian citizen with baseline security clearance eligibility.
• 3–5 years of commercial experience as a Systems Analyst.
• SFIA Level 3 competencies: Requirements Definition & Management.
• SFIA Level 3 competencies: Software Design.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, critical thinking, risk assessment, and Agile delivery experience.
• Desirable: exposure to Feasibility Assessments and User Experience Evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and manage requirements for software applications and interfaces.
• Create and maintain solution documents, technical specifications, and design views.
• Conduct test coverage reviews and quality assurance of documents.
• Monitor performance and support lifecycle of system improvements.
• Translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with Agile teams.
• Adhere to government digital standards, privacy regulations, WHS, and APS Code of Conduct.
