Chandler Macleod Group is recruiting for an experienced Audit & Assurance Officer to support governance, risk, audit and business continuity functions within a Federal Government environment. You will coordinate internal audits, maintain governance frameworks, and engage senior stakeholders to strengthen performance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in audit, assurance, risk management, governance or compliance within a complex organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Excellent written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, briefings and executive-level documentation.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within tight timeframes.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and manage the delivery of internal audits, including planning, stakeholder engagement, audit monitoring and reporting.
• Maintain audit recommendation registers, track management actions and provide timely reporting to leadership and governance committees.
• Manage relationships with internal audit service providers and support assurance, compliance and risk management activities.
• Prepare high-quality reports, briefings and committee papers relating to audit, risk, assurance and business continuity.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of governance, risk and assurance frameworks, policies and processes.
• Support business continuity planning, testing activities and organisational resilience initiatives.
• Coordinate external reviews, risk workshops and assurance activities as required.
