Job summary

YFS in Jimboomba and the Scenic Rim seeks a Local Link Advocate to connect healthcare and family, domestic and sexual violence support services, empowering professionals, and coordinating access to services that promote safety, healing and recovery.

You will collaborate with GPs, primary healthcare providers, mental health services, and community partners to strengthen referrals, deliver education, and build workforce capability for victim-survivors across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in DFV, community services, health or human services.
• Trauma-informed, person-centred practice.
• Empathetic communicator with advocacy and training skills.
• Strong case management, assessment, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Educate, train, consult, and build capacity with healthcare professionals on FDSV responses.
• Contribute to design and enhancement of Local Link service models and PHN initiatives.
• Provide secondary consultations, case review support, and practice guidance.
• Foster cross-sector partnerships and improve referral pathways for victim-survivors.
