Job summary

Carr Farming is seeking a hands-on Farming Maintenance and Machine Operator to join our family business in Queensland. You will operate tractors and loaders, perform general repairs and maintenance, and support day-to-day farming operations with initiative and reliability.

The role requires practical farming experience, ability to work independently, and a focus on safety. Accommodation may be discussed; salary is negotiable based on experience.

Qualifications

• Previous farm or agricultural experience – essential.
• Poultry farm experience would be an advantage.
• Experience operating tractors and loaders.
• Truck driving licence would be highly regarded.
• Good practical handyman and maintenance skills.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and ability to service and repair farm machinery.

Farming Maintenance and Machine operator

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong farming experience who is comfortable operating machinery, carrying out general repairs and maintenance, and assisting with the day‑day operation of a large family farming business.

Operating trucks subject to appropriate licensing

Carrying out basic servicing of tractors, loaders, and other machinery

About you

Previous farm or agricultural experience – essential

Working Arrangements

The position requires the successful applicant to be available to work every second weekend as part of the normal farm roster.

Some flexibility may also be required from time to time due to the nature of farming and livestock operations.
