Job summary

Hinz Grazing, a family‑owned cropping, cattle and feedlot business, is seeking an experienced Cropping Operator to lead broadacre cropping while remaining hands‑on with machinery. The role is based between Miles and Condamine on Queensland’s Western Downs.

The position includes a new two‑bedroom on‑farm home and flexible, self‑managed hours as the business grows with you. Candidates should bring broadacre cropping experience and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Broadacre cropping experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to grow with the business.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver broadacre cropping programs from paddock preparation through planting and harvest.
• Operate, service, repair and maintain farm plant and machinery.
• Coordinate cropping contractors and maintain records.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a small team.
• Assist Head of Livestock with cattle, yard and feedlot tasks when needed.
