10 Horticultural Workers are required starting December 2026 for up to nine months across properties in and around Mareeba, QLD.
Workers must be available to work 5-7 days per week. Hours of work will vary daily with the demands, averaging a minimum of 30 hours per week. This work is mainly outdoors in various weather conditions and will include picking, packing and general crop management of bananas, Avocadoes, Citrus, Mango's and other various fruits or vegetables.
Wages will be under the Horticultural Award 2020 and paid at the Level 1 Casual hourly award rate ($32.18 per hour). Workers must be available for the full duration. You will need reliable transport. It is essential that you are able to work flexible hours as rosters will vary. You must be reliable and committed and have the ability to work quickly and accurately.
Due to the high physical demands of these positions, workers will need to be physically fit and self-motivated. You may be on your feet for extended periods and required to perform repetitive manual tasks. Opportunities to upskill and job-specific training will be offered to acceptable candidates.
