Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Family Support Worker (Families Together) in Taree to deliver intensive in-home and community-based support. You will mentor families, coach parenting goals and help implement family action plans to strengthen parenting capacity and child safety.

Join a dedicated team focused on breaking down barriers and improving outcomes for children, young people and families in NSW. A diploma in community services or related field is preferred, with probity checks required.

Qualifications

• Hold or be actively completing a Diploma in Community Services or related field (or higher).
• Qualification desirable but not essential for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive in-home and community-based family support, mentoring, coaching and practical assistance.
• Support implementation of family action plan goals to strengthen parenting capacity and child safety.
• Assist with family preservation and facilitate safe reunification outcomes where appropriate.
