Job summary

South Coast Medical Service Aboriginal Corporation is seeking two Family Preservation Caseworkers, one in Nowra and one in Wollongong, to provide intensive support to at-risk Aboriginal children and families. This NGO values culturally safe, community-driven care and aims to keep families together.

Roles require Cert IV in Community Services or related field, case-management experience, and ability to manage multiple family plans with timely reporting. Applications close 08/10/2026.

Qualifications

• Minimum Cert IV in Community Services or related field, or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with case management for families and children at risk of OOHC.
• Ability to develop and manage detailed family action plans for multiple families.
• Proficiency with MS Office and data/records management.
• Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive support services to Aboriginal children, young people and families at risk of OOHC.
• Develop and manage detailed family action plans and monitor progress.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare timely reports.
