Job summary

Be Recruitment Group, on behalf of Sydney Region Aboriginal Corporation (SRAC), seeks a Family Preservation Case Worker for SRAC's new program in Penrith. This Aboriginal Identified role supports culturally safe, trauma-informed services for Aboriginal children and families.

You will deliver strengths-based case management, complete assessments, safety planning and home visits, and collaborate with Family Support Workers to keep families connected.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated case work experience within Family Preservation, Child Protection, Intensive Family Support or a related setting.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and child protection.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering family preservation case management
• Completing family assessments, safety planning and risk assessments
• Developing family-led case plans
• Undertaking home visits and community-based support
• Working closely with Family Support Workers and key stakeholders

This is an exciting opportunity to join a respected Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) at the beginning of a new program, helping shape practice, build strong community relationships and support Aboriginal children and families through culturally safe, trauma-informed services.

About the Role

Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll provide strengths-based, trauma-informed case management to children, young people and families, supporting them to remain safely together wherever possible.

You’ll be responsible for:
