Job summary

Fairbank Lawyers Pty Ltd in Melbourne's CBD is seeking a keen family lawyer to join our boutique practice. We require a minimum of 2 years PAE in family law, with part-time options (minimum 3 days/week) for candidates with at least 5 years PAE.

You will handle a diverse range of family law matters, including court litigation, and work closely with the Principal who is an Accredited Family Law Specialist.

Qualifications

• Clear communication style (written and verbal).
• Excellent drafting skills and pride in your work.
• Strong work ethic and ability to meet deadlines.
• Track-record practising in family law.
• Team player with mentoring capability for junior staff.
• Experience handling recent family law matters and managing varied caseloads.
• Ability to advocate for clients in Court.
• Desire to specialise further in family law.
• Familiarity with practice management software, e-Brief Ready and electronic file management.

Responsibilities

• Work on a diverse range of family law matters, including litigated Court matters.
• Collaborate with the Principal and senior lawyers.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development.
