Job summary

Pinangba, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led service arm of UnitingCare Queensland, provides residential healing services at Cape York Family Centre in Far North Queensland. We are seeking a Case Worker to manage a client caseload and deliver high-quality care and support to residents.

You will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, advocate for clients with external agencies, and collaborate with stakeholders to continuously improve services.

Pinangba is the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led service delivery arm of UnitingCare. The foundations of Pinangba are built from our cultural identity and strong community relationships and partnerships.

Cape York Family Centre provides residential culturally appropriate healing services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families of Cape York in Far North Queensland.

The Role

As a Case Worker, you will be managing a client case load and participate in the delivery and planning of a high standard of care and support to our residents. A day in the role will see you:

  • Conduct comprehensive initial drug & alcohol assessments.
  • Develop treatment plans & support your clients to ensure individual needs are met.
  • Provide advocacy and support for clients who require the assistance of outside agencies.
  • Develop and maintain sound working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Plan, conduct and facilitate in-service training to other staff.
