Job summary

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing experience is preferred but not essential.
• Current or willingness to obtain health and safety certifications (forklift) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist machine operators in setting up and operating manufacturing machinery safely and effectively.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished products with proper handling and storage.
• Conduct routine quality checks and inspections during production.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment across the factory floor.
• Monitor production schedules and report issues or delays to supervisors.
• Pack and prepare finished products for dispatch with accurate labelling and documentation.
• Perform general maintenance tasks on equipment as directed.
• Comply with health and safety procedures and workplace standards.
• Support the team to meet production targets and deadlines.

About the role

We are seeking a Factory Hand to join our manufacturing team at South Eastern Gaskets in Mordialloc, Victoria. This is a full-time position based on-site at our facility. As a Factory Hand, you will play a vital role in our production operations, supporting machine operators and contributing to the efficient manufacture of our gasket products. This role offers the opportunity to develop valuable skills in manufacturing, quality control and equipment operation within a professional, safety-conscious environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist machine operators in setting up and operating manufacturing machinery safely and effectively
