Job summary

Synergie Australia is seeking Factory Hands in Cairns to join a respected manufacturing company producing high-quality steel products. You will work Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, with a pay rate of $35.15 per hour.

Responsibilities include material handling, picking/packing orders, operating mills (training provided), and using overhead cranes/forklifts if licensed. Prior labouring/manufacturing experience is preferred and full working rights in Australia are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in labouring or manufacturing preferred.
• LF forklift licence desirable but not required.
• Must be physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Demonstrates strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures.

• Handle materials, pick and pack orders accurately.

What you will be required to do:

As a Factory Hand, you will assist in the production process, ensuring high-quality outcomes and safe work practices. Responsibilities include:

• Material handling and inventory management
• Picking and packing orders accurately
• Operating machinery, including manufacturing mills (training provided)
• Operating overhead cranes and forklifts (if licensed)
• Receiving and dispatching goodsPerforming general labouring and manual handling tasks
• Collaborating with team members to achieve production goals
• Following strict safety procedures to maintain a hazard-free workplace

To be successful in the role you will:

• Have previous labouring or manufacturing experience (preferred but not essential)
• Have experience in machine operation in a manufacturing environment (desirable)
• Hold an LF forklift licence (desirable but not required)
• Demonstrate strong safety awareness and adherence to procedures
• Be physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
• Show attention to detail, reliability, and a team-focused attitude
• Have full working rights in Australia and access to reliable transport
