Job summary

Alliance Automation is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our Brisbane team. You will lead control systems and automation projects across mining, water and heavy industry, coordinating clients, engineers and delivery teams to achieve exceptional outcomes.

You will manage scope, budgets and schedules with a focus on safety, quality and commercial success, while building robust client relationships and guiding teams through complex projects.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering, automation or control systems projects.
• Strong project planning, resource management and commercial capability.
• Experience in Mining & Resources, Water & Wastewater, Heavy Industry or similar environments.
• Solid technical understanding of PLC, SCADA and industrial control systems.
• Strong client engagement, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead engineering teams and make decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and automation projects from concept through to commissioning.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources and commercial outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients to understand operations, challenges and objectives.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering and project teams.
• Oversee design, development, integration and delivery of PLC/SCADA solutions.
• Proactively manage project risks, variations and priorities.
• Ensure safe, on-time delivery to specification and commercial standards.
• Build long‑term client relationships and identify value opportunities.
