Job summary

Kardinia International College is a leading K-12 co-educational, non-denominational, independent school located in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. With a student enrolment of approximately 2000, the College employs 330 permanent staff in addition to a large casual workforce.

The Facilities and Maintenance department is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the College's extensive buildings and grounds including sporting facilities and specialist learning spaces across two campuses, encompassing a large number number of lawns, sporting ovals and established gardens and trees. The department ensures that facilities remain safe, compliant, sustainable, and fit for purpose, supporting both the educational and co-curricular programs of the College.

About the role

Reporting to the Director of Property and Facilities, the Facilities Services Manager has a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, facilities operations, preventative and reactive maintenance, contractor management, compliance, risk management, budgeting and asset planning.

A Working with Children Check (employee) and willingness to undergo a National Criminal History check are essential. There is also an expectation to adhere to the College's Child Safe Policyand practices.

About you

You are an experienced and highly capable, solutions-focused leader with a strong commitment to delivering quality outcomes. You will bring experience in facilities, maintenance, property or building services, ideally within a complex multi-site environment, together with experience leading and supervising maintenance teams and contractors.

You manage competing priorities with ease and make sound decisions under pressure, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, sustainability and continuous improvement.

You have excellent communication and interpersonal abilities and are confident working collaboratively with staff, contractors, suppliers and the broader College community.
