Job summary

Mercy Health Warrnambool is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to support our Residential Aged Care Home in Warrnambool. You will carry out repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep of facilities, ensuring safety and reliability for residents, staff and visitors.

You will liaise with contractors, oversee site access, maintain records in our maintenance system, and contribute to a safe, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong time management, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in aged care or hotel/hospital settings is highly regarded.
• Trade-based qualification or extensive maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out ground’s maintenance, on-going repairs and preventative servicing of buildings, plant, equipment and furniture.
• Liaise with and oversee contractors, including site access and inductions.
• Identify and address WHS/OHS issues to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain accurate records using computer-based maintenance systems.
• Contribute to a collaborative, resident-focused team environment.
