Job summary

Mercy Health in Warrnambool is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to keep our Residential Aged Care Home safe, functional and well‑maintained. You will manage repairs, preventative maintenance, and assist with safety improvements across the facility.

We value hands-on maintenance experience, WHS knowledge, and the ability to coordinate contractors. A trade qualification or 3+ years in a similar role, a current driver’s licence, and a Police Check are required or in process.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance, ongoing repairs and preventative servicing of buildings, plant, equipment and furniture.
• Liaise with and oversee contractors, including site access and inductions.
• Identify, report and implement opportunities for improvement across the facility.
• Assist in identifying and rectifying WHS/OHS issues to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain accurate records using computer-based maintenance systems.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative, resident-focused team environment.
