Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Maintenance Officer at Mercy Place Warrnambool, VIC to ensure safe, functional and well-maintained facilities for residents and staff. The role is permanent, part-time, located on-site at 16 Hopetoun Rd, Warrnambool.

You will perform repairs, preventative maintenance, supervise contractors, and maintain maintenance records while upholding safety standards and resident-centred care.

Qualifications

• Proven maintenance experience in commercial settings.
• Trade qualification preferred but not essential.
• Current driver's licence.
• Police check evidence or in process.

Responsibilities

• Carry out grounds maintenance, on-going repairs and preventive servicing of buildings, plant, equipment and furniture.
• Liaise with and oversee contractors, including site access and inductions.
• Identify, report and implement opportunities for improvement across the facility.
• Assist in identifying and rectifying WHS/OHS issues to maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain accurate records using computer-based maintenance systems.
• Contribute positively to a collaborative, resident-focused team environment.
