Job summary

Fraser Coast Regional Council is seeking an experienced Facilities Officer to join the Property Works & Services team, based in Maryborough but delivering projects across the Fraser Coast region. You will coordinate maintenance, operations and capital improvements for a range of administration, public use and heritage-listed facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience interpreting and applying building, heritage and safety regulations.
• Experience conducting inspections, reporting and cost estimation.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with stakeholders.
• Valid driver’s licence and a construction induction white card.
• AQF level 5 or above in construction or related field (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Conduct building inspections and prepare asset condition reports.
• Develop, implement and review forecasts, maintenance schedules and asset management plans.
• Assist with management of operational and capital budgets for building maintenance and capital works.
• Prepare quotation and tender documentation and manage contracts.
• Liaise with contractors and tradespersons as required.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Facilities Officer to join our Property Works & Services team, based out of Maryborough but working on projects across the Fraser Coast region. You'll coordinate and supervise the maintenance, operations and capital improvements on a range of administration, public use, and heritage listed facilities.

What your day will look like:

• Conducting building inspections, preparing asset condition reports and other relevant documentation
• Developing, implementing and reviewing forecasts, maintenance schedules, and asset management plans
• Assisting with the management of operational and capital budgets for building maintenance and capital works programs
• Preparing relevant quotation and tender documentation and appropriate contract administration
• Liaising with contractors and tradespersons where required
