Job summary

Carey Harrisdale is seeking a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Person (Full-time) to maintain and present our campus buildings and grounds. You will manage work requests, engage with on-site contractors, and ensure vehicles and equipment are safe and well maintained.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years in facility maintenance, strong attention to detail, and compliance with WHS, WWCC, and police clearance. Driving licence and Australian working rights are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in property/facility maintenance.
• Experience in grounds care and bore reticulation systems (desirable).
• High attention to detail and organisation skills.
• Self-driven with accountability towards tasks, outcomes and expectations.
• WHS white card is required.
• Working with children check (WWCC) is required.
• Driver’s license is required.
• Current National Police Clearance Certificate is required.
• Chemical application knowledge and certification desirable.
• Working at Heights ticket is desirable or willing to obtain.
• Must have Full Working Rights within Australia.

Responsibilities

• General buildings maintenance and repairs, and grounds maintenance upkeep assistance.
• Ticket (work request) management and fulfilling requests in a timely fashion.
• Engage with contractors on site and monitor works to ensure jobs are completed to a satisfactory standard.
• Communicate closely with the Facilities Manager and/or line supervisor on tasks, planning, logistics and safety issues/hazards.
• Ensure Carey buses, vehicles, mobile utility units, tools and machinery are operational, safe and well maintained.
• Assist with fertigation/reticulation systems, event setups, school assemblies and sports carnivals.
