Job summary

St Vincent's Health Australia is seeking a Maintenance Officer to join the Corinda team. You will maintain our facility, grounds, plant and equipment to high standards while delivering prompt repairs and coordinating contractors.

You’ll support continuous improvement programs and help create a safe, risk-managed environment for residents, staff and visitors. Working under the Maintenance Supervisor, you will log preventative maintenance tasks, apply infection control and WHS practices, and

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage competing demands with organizational skills.
• Experience in performing repairs, maintenance and fabrication with limited supervision.
• Ability to supervise external Contractors and coordinate multi-discipline works.
• Knowledge of infection control and WHS standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs, fabrication and routine maintenance tasks.
• Supervise external contractors across disciplines (painting, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration).
• Coordinate equipment testing per Australian Standards.
• Execute and log preventative maintenance programs.
• Apply infection control, manual handling and WHS hazard identification.
• Participate in on-call roster (every second weekend, and supervisor leave).
