Job summary

Monash Health invites a Facilities Manager to oversee the management of community hospital and small site facilities across Melbourne. You will lead hard and soft FM services, ensuring safety, efficiency and a high-quality environment for patients, staff and visitors.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, project coordination and leadership of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on asset management and regulatory compliance to support Monash Health’s care priorities.

Qualifications

• Graduate Engineering Degree preferred; or equivalent
• Minimum technical trade qualification with substantial hospital facilities management experience
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Facilities/Building Engineering or related fields
• Certification or membership with a professional FM body (e.g., FMAA)
• Experience or certification in project or business management is desirable

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of facilities across hospital sites ensuring optimal functionality and aesthetics
• Oversee hard and soft FM portfolios, building systems, grounds, car parks, roads and infrastructure
• Develop and implement asset management plans across lifecycle of in-scope assets
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards across facilities
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and multi-disciplinary teams to meet service levels
