Job summary

Cochlear Limited is seeking a Senior Facilities Coordinator to oversee daily facilities operations, building maintenance, and site safety across Cochlear’s Sydney campuses, including Macquarie University and Lane Cove. The role acts as the main operational escalation point for the Site Manufacturing Director and supports major projects from the Facilities Manager.

You will manage maintenance, contractor safety, and vendor SLAs, while coordinating with Manufacturing and WHS teams to ensure

Qualifications

Extensive FM experience in commercial/industrial/manufacturing settings.
Tertiary or recognised FM qualifications.
Strong understanding of BMS, CMMS, and high‑risk permit systems (SWMS/JSA/PTW).
Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills with vendor management ability.
Excellent verbal and written communication with cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Oversee day‑to‑day maintenance activities, ensuring safety and quality standards.
Assist with workstation changes and office reconfigurations.
Serve as daily site escalation point for building services and contractor access.
Participate in 24/7 on‑call response for facilities alarms and emergencies.
Oversee on‑site contractors and verify work meets specifications.
Track vendor SLAs and maintain records of service activities.
Lead site coordination meetings and support major capital projects.
Conduct routine building inspections and enforce safety compliance.
