The roster options include a fly-in/fly-out (FIFO) arrangement from Cairns, a drive-in/drive-out (DIDO) roster with access to a top-class camp, or living locally in the community of Cloncurry and being home every night. The current roster is 8/6 days with 12-hour shifts. We encourage conversations about flexible work options.

About the role

Reporting to the Site Services Supervisor, you will be an integral part of the Facilities team by delivering high-quality electrician services vital to the Ernest Henry Mining operation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and preventative electrical maintenance on village infrastructure including accommodation rooms, kitchen, laundries, water and sewer plants and distribution boards
• Perform inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards
• Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and equipment
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and asset condition
• Collaborating with other trades for coordinated maintenance efforts
• Ensuring compliance with company safety policies and statutory regulations
• Contributing to a clean, safe, and productive work environment
• Supporting emergency response activities (manual driver’s licence required)

About you

You will hold relevant qualifications, a QLD electrical licence, current CPR/LVR and a manual driver’s licence. Additional certifications are highly regarded, including tickets such as Forklift, EWP, Confined Space, and Working at Heights. You should have experience in your trade, preferably in remote or mining environments, and experience maintaining laundry and commercial kitchen equipment is advantageous. You are reliable, safety-focused and capable of working independently in physically demanding conditions.
