Job summary

Norths Collective in Sydney is seeking a Facilities Attendant to maintain and service our venues. You will handle interior and exterior lighting, plumbing, setup and pack down of promotional materials, and report repairs across all sites.

Preference for a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning trade qualification; 2+ years in facilities/maintenance; strong WHS understanding; you will work with management and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning preferred.
• Certificate and licence to perform Refrigeration and Air Conditioning work in NSW.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in facilities, building, or general maintenance.
• Understanding of OH&S/WHS standards.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide general venue maintenance across 4 Sydney venues.
• Perform lighting, plumbing, setup and pack down of promotional materials.
• Report building and system repairs to management.
• Maintain Work Health & Safety compliance across venues.
• Assist with other duties as required.

About The Role.

The Facilities Attendant provides venue maintenance required for the upkeep and appearance across our 4 Sydney venues. You will be required to perform any facility maintenance such interior/exterior lighting, general plumbing, set up and pack down any promotional advertisements. You will also be responsible for reporting all building and system repairs at all venues. A trade qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is highly preferable, and experience in this area will be considered an advantage. You may be required to assist with refrigeration, air conditioning and other mechanical maintenance tasks across venues.

Your Key Priorities Will Be To

• Maintenance. Provide general maintenance of the venue. Perform general repairs and updates on all equipment including valid tag and testing. Maintain stock supplies in washrooms, cabinets and storage areas.
• Communication. Maintain effective communication with all key stakeholders including senior management, team members and clients. Be the first person of contact on site for external suppliers. Work with the floor team to ensure any issues are resolved in the least disruptive manner.
• Reporting. Maintaining a reporting database for venues to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Perform weekly, monthly and yearly routine checks.
• Workplace Health & Safety. Actively support a range of activities in accordance with Work, Health & Safety legislation obligations and in line with Norths Risk Management Program. Ensure compliance wherever necessary including all relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice.
• Any other duties that may be reasonably requested at any time.

The Candidate

• Relevant certificate and licence to perform Refrigeration and Air Conditioning work in NSW
• Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar role in facilities, building, or general maintenance repair
• Understanding of OH&S and WHS standards
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and capable of efficient problem solving
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently
