Job summary

Inhabit in Brisbane is seeking a Façade Engineer to deliver façade and structural design services for high-profile projects across South East Queensland. The role involves concept development, detailed design, documentation and construction phase support within a collaborative Facades and Sustainability team.

You will typically have 2+ years of relevant experience, with qualifications in structural/civil engineering or architecture, and hands-on proficiency with REVIT, BIM and SpaceGass.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in a façade/related role.
• Experience in façade projects (curtain wall, glazing, cladding, specialist systems).
• Exposure to project management activities such as budget and schedule adherence.
• Strong time management and organisational skills with good written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Deliver façade and structural engineering design services (concept to construction).

• Prepare tender and design documentation to meet client requirements.

Join us as a Façade Engineer in our Brisbane Facades and Sustainability team! You will be responsible for the delivery façade engineering solutions that meet client requirements within agreed project timeframes and budget. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, challenging projects across South East QLD.

You will also be responsible for:

• Deliver and façade and structural engineering design services, including concept development, detailed design, documentation, analysis, specifications and construction phase support
• Support project planning, management of resources for small projects or parts of larger projects
• Prepare tender documentation, design documentation/specifications and project deliverables to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
• Produce or coordinate the production and revision of Engineering designs by liaising with internal Design / Design Engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationship by conducting all work in a professional and productive manner

You will ideally have 2+ years demonstrated professional experience in a similar role, ideally within consultancy. In addition, you will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering (Structural, civil) or architectural discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in façade engineering, structural engineering or related building engineering disciplines
• Demonstrated experience working on façade projects, including curtain wall, glazing, cladding and specialist systems
• Exposure and understanding of project management skills including achieving prescribed budget, timeframes and customer requirements for projects assigned
• Proficiency with relevant software and platforms such as REVIT, BIM, SpaceGass etc.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills - both written and verbal
