Job summary

Inhabit, a multi-disciplinary team in Brisbane, seeks a Facade Engineer to deliver façade and structural engineering solutions for local and high-profile projects. You will work within the Facades and Sustainability team, responsible for concept development, detailed design, documentation, analysis, and construction-phase support.

You will bring 2+ years of relevant experience, a tertiary qualification in structural/civil engineering or architecture, and strong communication and project

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience in a similar facade/structural engineering role.
• Experience in facade projects including curtain wall, glazing, cladding and specialist systems.
• Proficiency with REVIT, BIM, SpaceGass and related design software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver façade and structural engineering design services from concept to construction documentation.
• Support project planning and resource management for small to mid-size projects.
• Prepare design documentation and technical specifications to meet client requirements.
• Coordinate with internal design teams to produce and revise engineering designs.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships through professional project delivery.

Job Description

Join us as a Façade Engineer in our Brisbane Facades and Sustainability team! You will be responsible for the delivery façade engineering solutions that meet client requirements within agreed project timeframes and budget. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile, challenging projects across South East QLD.

You will also be responsible for:

• Deliver and façade and structural engineering design services, including concept development, detailed design, documentation, analysis, specifications and construction phase support
• Support project planning, management of resources for small projects or parts of larger projects
• Prepare tender documentation, design documentation/specifications and project deliverables to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
• Produce or coordinate the production and revision of Engineering designs by liaising with internal Design / Design Engineering teams.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationship by conducting all work in a professional and productive manner

Qualifications

You will ideally have 2+ years demonstrated professional experience in a similar role, ideally within consultancy. In addition, you will also have:

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering (Structural, civil) or architectural discipline.
• Demonstrated experience in façade engineering, structural engineering or related building engineering disciplines
• Demonstrated experience working on façade projects, including curtain wall, glazing, cladding and specialist systems
• Exposure and understanding of project management skills including achieving prescribed budget, timeframes and customer requirements for projects assigned
• Proficiency with relevant software and platforms such as REVIT, BIM, SpaceGass etc.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills – both written and verbal
