Job summary

Warringah Aluminium Pty Ltd in Brookvale, NSW, is seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder to join our skilled trades team on a full-time basis at our Brookvale facility. You will fabricate and weld aluminium and other metals to drawings, operate MIG and TIG welding processes, and ensure inspections meet quality standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or Certificate in Welding/Fabrication or equivalent practical experience
• Proven experience as a Fabricator Welder, with proficiency in MIG, TIG and general welding techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Competency in using hand tools, power tools and welding equipment safely and effectively
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements in manufacturing environments
• Physical fitness for manual work including standing and lifting
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and weld aluminium and other metals according to technical drawings and specifications
• Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG and other welding processes
• Inspect completed welds and fabrications for defects and dimensional accuracy
• Prepare materials and components for welding, including cutting, grinding and fitting
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet deadlines and specs
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment adhering to health and safety protocols
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment and machinery
• Identify and report issues or non-conformities in materials or completed work

Warringah Aluminium Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Fabricator Welder to join our skilled trades team on a full-time basis at our facility in Brookvale, NSW. Warringah Aluminium Pty Ltd is an established Northern Beaches metal fabrication business with over 40 years of industry experience. We have a large variety of work from small repairs to high-end architectural jobs. Our work covers aluminium, stainless steel, brass and mild steel, including architectural, marine, vehicle, industrial, residential and commercial projects.

What you'll be doing

• Fabricate and weld aluminium and other metals according to technical drawings and specifications
• Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG and other welding processes, ensuring consistent quality and safety standards
• Inspect completed welds and fabrications for defects, dimensional accuracy and adherence to customer requirements
• Prepare materials and components for welding, including cutting, grinding and fitting operations
• Collaborate with supervisors and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and to specification
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and protocols
• Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment and machinery
• Identify and report any issues or non-conformities in materials or completed work

What we're looking for
