Job summary

Alumac Industries Pty Ltd is seeking a Specialist Aluminium Fabricator to join our Caringbah, NSW facility on a full-time basis. You will fabricate and assemble high-precision aluminium components, reading drawings and welding with TIG, MIG, and laser equipment to meet safety and quality standards.

You will contribute to diverse projects from architectural elements to industrial applications, collaborating with a skilled team to ensure timely delivery and exemplary workmanship.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or formal training in aluminium fabrication, welding, or a related trade such as sheet metal
• Proven experience in aluminium fabrication and metalworking, ideally in a specialist or manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly TIG and MIG welding on aluminium alloys
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work
• Sound knowledge of health and safety practices relevant to fabrication work
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to different fabrication challenges

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, laser cut aluminium components to create a broad range of architectural and industrial products
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate production of components
• Perform welding operations on aluminium materials, ensuring joints meet structural integrity and aesthetic requirements
• Inspect finished products and components for quality, dimensional accuracy, and defects prior to delivery
• Assemble fabricated components into complete structures or subassemblies as required
• Operate and maintain fabrication equipment, reporting any faults or maintenance requirements
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and protocols in the workplace
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines and project specifications
• Keep work areas clean and organised, and maintain accurate records of materials and production activities

About the role

We are seeking a talented Specialist Aluminium Fabricator to join our team at our Caringbah, NSW facility on a full-time basis. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, and assembling high-precision aluminium components and structures. You will work with pulsed MIG, TIG and Laser welding equipment to produce products that meet strict quality and safety standards.
